Gareth Johnston is General Manager of A&NZSustain

Gareth Johnston is General Manager of A&NZSustain, based in Bondi Junction. Gareth focuses on creating opportunities for A&NZSustain members. He brings a rich background in corporate sustainability and business socio-environmental risk consulting.

As founding director of Australia's first climate change risk management company and founding CEO of the CSIRO's first renewable energy technology company, Gareth consulted to the largest Australian, European and Japanese corporations.

His work has given him exposure to local, state and federal governments across Europe and Australasia.

Post graduate qualified in sustainability, he completed Australia's leading social change leaders course, Sydney Leadership, in 2007.

The Trans -Tasman Business Circle

Recognising the growing links between Australia and New Zealand, Global CEO John Weiss founded the Trans -Tasman Business Circle (TTBC) http://www.transtasmanbusiness.com.au in 1993 to provide a network for business and government to collaborate and share ideas. Over the past 15 years, the Trans-Tasman Business Circle has grown to provide a multi-tiered level of engagement for its Subscribers.

The most prominent business and political leaders from the region are regular speakers at TTBC events.Business leaders, corporations
and government departments have an increasing interest in sustainability,prompting the TTBC to found A&NZSustain.

A&NZSustain was formed in 2009 recognising the need to have a non-partisan network that helps members to deliver sustainability to their organisations while finding new opportunities for sustainable business.

A&NZSustain provides a:

Marketplace of sustainable products and services.

The Australian network has a presence in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth as well as an extensive online environment to foster regional and international links.

A&NZSustain is the sister organisation of the Trans -Tasman Business Circle – an executive forum for business and government in both Australia and New Zealand which was established in 1993.
